A useful distinction
A project may depend on attendance, availability or costs not yet confirmed. Naming that uncertainty gives participants a clearer picture of the decision. It does not require predicting every possible difficulty or presenting the proposal as unsuccessful.
Put it into practice
Write the uncertain input, why it matters and the next step to clarify it. Keep forecasts labelled as forecasts. When new information arrives, revise the relevant statement rather than leaving a disclaimer disconnected from a headline that still promises a fixed outcome.
